But even amid all these events apart is the emergence of the figure of Igor Strelkov. Completely impossible in 2014, the character, as if descended from the faded photo of pre-revolutionary officers. Slowly the fog began to dissipate. Mainly through interviews Strelkova, which he was to give on a regular basis. It turned out that he was born in 1970 and that he is a hereditary military. Although his biography for the military is quite unusual.

WFD-2 was a continuation of art-1 – the first volunteer group which fought in Bosnia and ceased to exist as a separate unit at the end of 1992. A distinctive feature of this group was the banner and symbol – black-white-yellow “Cyrodilic ruler and double-headed eagle. This unit lasted until mid-1993 and he was replaced by the WFD-3, commanded already one of the Serbian Chetniks. When he had finished the Moscow state historical archives Institute, Strelkov went to serve compulsory military service in the Russian army. The most interesting thing started already after the Shooters left the post of commander of the defence forces DND and returned to Russia. Everyone was guessing what he will do: lie down on the floor, or, conversely, try to use your capital earned through dozens of enthusiastic reports of journalists. For some time he was silent, but then made some surprising statements in the spirit: “to rally around Putin”, “masons and the Rothschilds prepare the dismemberment of Russia”, to “respond to global conspiracies and the forces of evil” and the like. The other day he was all amazed, suddenly marrying a young girl who was his assistant. In politics he especially doesn’t fit, it is logical for fear of unpleasant consequences. The discussion topic was and the views and political beliefs Strelkov. Despite the abundance of photos from the reenactment of events in the form of the white armies, and confirmed membership in the military-historical club “Markovci” and Drozdowski Association, some of his claims about the USSR and Stalin was filled with fog and was not clear: not that he is a monarchist, not the whites, and maybe actually a Stalinist. Good people have compiled a selection of different statements Strelkova made at the forum “markovetses” in those days, when he was not yet known, from which we can draw conclusions about the relationship Strelkova to the USSR, anyway, about that relationship, as it was recently:

I am deeply convinced that the Bolsheviks still in Russia. Yes, it mutated almost beyond recognition. Yes, the formal ideology of this government has changed its sign to the opposite. But it remains unchanged in the framework of its anti-Russian, antipatriotism, anti-religious orientation.

In its ranks are the direct descendants of the very people who made the revolution of the 17th. They just repainted, but not fundamentally changed. Aside ideology, preventing them to get rich and enjoy the material benefits, they remained in power. In 1991 was a coup. Counter-revolution still has not occurred.

About Putin, he then spoke much sharper than he does now, and to rally around him did not suggest, on the contrary.

In connection with the interests of the West to destabilize Russia) protests against Putin will not stop. They will continue on increasing. Does this mean that we need to support Putin? Unfortunately, this presentiment was justified. I consider myself an ideological supporter of absolute monarchy in Russia. If anyone knows, the Russian corps fought in Yugoslavia, together with the Germans and the Serbian Chetniks against Tito’s partisans. The body was Russian immigrants from Yugoslavia. A little less than was joined immigrants from Romania and Bulgaria. Met and the individual ranks of the Soviet prisoners of war, but they were the minority. They were mostly the children of Russian immigrants, but a considerable number were present and the participants of the Civil war in Russia that age were allowed to fight. It should be noted that the case was recorded not only on ideological grounds. Tito’s Communists saw in Russian emigrants reactionaries and enemies of the red power and often attacked not only on them but also on their families or threatened them. Whether Strelkov a monarchist, whites or Stalinist, we seem to have sorted it out. But the most important question: whether or not he acted in Ukraine itself or by order of the oligarch Malofeev, and maybe in general surgery was developed in advance of the FSB, we will likely not find out in the near future. And may never be known. The issue was too sensitive. Himself Strelkovs in interviews repeatedly stressed that he acted on his own initiative. Of all active persons who have shown an interest in the events in the East of Ukraine Donetsk-Lugansk, and from the Ukrainian side, Strelkov was the only one who pulls on a real leader.
